I've been thinking about Tudor society and have come to realise that many of the people at the time were infact farmers. I'm therefore suggesting we find some system of asigning each citizen a certain number of sheep based on economic activity, obviously there would be a certain number of sheep in the country so as to make them some worth.
What do you all think?

that sounds pretty good actually. maybe we could have other farming types as well as sheep (crops, cows, etc), go the whole hog (excuse the pun) on the idea...

Yes it seems good, it will require some thinking though. Such as how will it be decided how much each creature is worth compared to the others.

This sounds quite good actually. And we could incorporate it into the Feudal land-giving thing that we're organising now somehow.

this is a proboards, maybe you could start up a cash-mod thing on here - a certain amount of money per post like we have in Cräiteland, and maybe incorperate that into this...

I think cash per posts devalues the economy

Yeah - ever heard of Hyperinflation, Craitman? That might be fun for buying things that don't matter, like I've seen a Proboards shop mod before; however if its a fully functioning economy we need a steady value of currency. That means no currency introductions - unlike say, every post.

I think we should have the following items in the following order of value:
Most Expensive Horse Cow Barley (per tonne) Wheat (per tonne) Pig Sheep

Looks good.
So will we have a currency that these items are traded in for?

I don't see that currency is a big issue, in tudor times they traded more in produce than funds

In that case, I move in true Blackadder Series I style we adopt the Egg and Worm as our two lowest forms of currency/trade/produce thing!
