The Gascon Revolutionary Army is the military wing of the Parti Communiste Gascogne (Gascon Communist Party). Banned by the monarchy, the PCG was holding underground meetings until the unexpected collapse of Bosworth proper. With the outbreak of anarchy throughout Gascony, the PCG was able to assert a good amount of authority over parts of the state. Presently their most fortified position is in Lannion, and they hold much of the lands in the southeast. Pockets of isolated fighters exist in the north, mostly in rural areas outside of Amorica and La Roche-Derrien. But these pockets cannot last for long unless the GRA can open up supply lines and reinforce those positions.
With the announcement that foreign forces will be intervening, the PCG has mobilized the entire GRA and announced its intents to form the Gascon Socialist People's Republic. While the PCG exerts a good amount of control over its forces, most of them are haphazard and untrained - which led to the unfortunate deaths of many humanitarian workers. This has galvanized foreign support against the PCG, which means that any assistance to the revolutionaries will be non-existent. The Gascon population is more evenly divided, with the rural population centers supporting social welfare with the capitalist cities supporting the monarchy and retention of personal wealth. Lannion, the only large city held by PCG forces, was overwhelmed early on in the civil war, and the monarchist population living there has since fled north to safety. Stringing together a number of fortified villages with the city allowed the PCG and GRA to exert considerable control over the southeast. But their power is checked just south of Amorica and Route 6A, where noble and foreign forces are amassing in a Maginot Line.
While royalist forces control the main means of supply into Gascony via the Benacian Thruway, attention has now been diverted to the port of Dantes, which provides ocean-borne supplies to most of south and central Gascony (the north being served by La Roche-Derrien). Given that it is nigh impossible to secure the Benacian Thruway from the enemy, the PCG is greedily looking towards Dantes as its first target of liberation.
