This is the OBC World Service.
Yesterday, in an act of unprovoked aggression, the tyrannical regime in the western Ocian Federation launched an invasion against the true, legitimate and just Eastern Federation. A large number of East Ocian civilians, facilitated by emergency planning under the codename MATADOR, have escaped up river to our friends in Bosworth via the Merchant fleet. Our service has been relocated by kind permission of Bosworth to allow us to bring you news from East Ocia uninterupted and tainted by west Ocian censors.
With the collusion of the quisling Michael Dervin, the tyrannical dictator Matt Kovac attempted to fool the Government. Luckily thanks to sterling intelligence work, information was made available to the Federal Assembly which authorised the mobilisation of our armed forces and pushed for the removal of the quisling Dervin. From this moment forth, the country declares no confidence in Dervin and urges its representatives in the Assembly to impeach the traitor.
Our Armed Forces have been hit hard. Smoke is rising from Directrus but we are assured by sources in Government and our own contacts that the initial DRO offensive has been repulsed. Our other cities have suffered air attacks but our air force has mobilised sufficiently to the greater raids.
More news will follow from our correspondents soon.

It's interesting that matt kovac, who claims not to check these forums, was quoting the above within hours of it being posted.

This is the OBC World Service. Now the News on Day 3 of the Crisis.
Directrus is still under siege as DRO forces have linked up with their partisans which had been placed in Directrus for the purpose holding down our forces, contravening the good will of the eastern Ocian Federation. We are lucky to have had our Directrus reporter, Ian Karlovic, smuggle this report out of the city.
"This morning's dawn was disturbed once again by rippling machine gun fire as much of the night was. The prospect of being shot by a partisan sniper did not deter eastern Federation forces from raising the flag amongst the rubble of East Directrus. West Directrus has suffered artillery barrages from our forces in an attempt to distrupt partisan supply lines but the effectiveness of such barrages is questionable. A trumpeter played out tunes as the morning carried on, amongst them hymns as East Directrusians turned to their faith in this time of war. Our boys are holding their own against the partisans and have given them a bloody nose. We have had unconfirmed reports that the Western regulars have managed to reach Directrus' outskirts though military sources have refused to confirm those reports. Directrus still stands defiant but for how long we don't know. Ian Karlovic, OBC World Service."
In other news from around the conflict zone, East Ocian citizens are still continuing to flee. Unconfirmed reports of massacres of East Ocian citizens refusing to swear loyalty to the Kolya-Kovac regime. Maribor has for the time being not come under attack and the Federal Assembly is still attempting to co-ordinate the defences in co-operation with Anthony Montague, Land Commander of the Ocian Forces. Other areas are still suffering air raids but for the time being offensive operations by land forces of the western regime have not taken place.
