Well seeing as that old resource based system kind of...flopped a very long time ago, maybe we could come up with something new? It's kind of hard to know what to suggest as there has never been a desirable and successful micronational economic system, but i suppose the best place to start is by looking at currency which is quite obviously the foundation of economics.
Currency started off as the exchange of goods, which we tried with the agricultural system, and from there it moved to currency. We have currency on this forum, quite obviously, but i think it's allocation is based entirely on posts which i dont particularly agree with. The only real "commodities" within micronations are activity and culture, hence we should probably make these the basis for our international trading schemes e.g. "we'll post X times on your forum if you create cultural item Y for us."
Internally however that won't work for obvious reasons...so yeah...ideas people.

Yes this is always an apparent problem with most micronations. We do have our forum based currency 'Rosen' so we could either offer items for citizens to buy or to set up a valid reason for trying to build up enough money. Other than that I have no idea how we can create a sustainable economy.
