The following group of units, henceforce known as Taskforce Mercury, have been issued with orders to sail westwards from Blore Heath and proceed to the international waters immediately south of the Nova English Virgin Islands where they are to await further instructions. Details of their mission will be given as required.

All units have now been given the order to stand-to. The PBY Catalina's have been launched and are to form a defencive radar-ring around the Conningsby, meanwhile the Merlin helicopters are patroling within the radar zone in pairs (one armed with Sea Skua while the other carries AIM-9 Sidewinder) while other aircraft remain on stand-by. Defensive weaponry on the Conningsby has been activated.

The mission having been accomplished the fleet is to sail for home, arriving just in time for tea and medals on Friday evening  .
